    Kaufman County CERT is proud to offer Community Emergency Response Team training to the citizens of Kaufman County Texas.  We use the standard training program developed by the Los Angles Fire Department and promoted nationally by the Citizen Corps and FEMA.  All standard classes are taugh in house by members of the program.

    Kaufman County CERT offers three versions of the standard CERT class.  Each class learns the same information as the others, the only difference is the amount of time spent in the class.  For those that have the time available to take the standard class, it allows you to take more time to complete the program and not try to learn it all at once.  The other options are faster in getting the training and may be better suited for businesses or groups.

    Choose the class type from the menu on the left and you can learn more about each one.  Classes are generally held on Saturdays, unless enough people signup and request that they have a Sunday class.  Normal class times are listed on the pages for each class, but can be adjusted with the approval of the entire class if needed.

    Once a member has completed the standard training classes, they will have the opportunity to take advance classes, which will upgrade their membership rating.  To learn about these classes, please visit our Advance Training memu listed on the left of the screen.
