Kaufman County CERT, Inc.

Currently, Kaufman County CERT, Inc. is only accepting members that are 18 or older. We will be starting a junior program very soon, so please check this website often for new and updated information.

To get started with your class registration and applicaiton, please choose either Application Forms or Online Registration from the menu on the left.  It is recommend that you use the application forms, instead of online registration, as it helps to eliminate any errors.

You initial membership is for 1 year from the date that you join, then will be renewed on a 2 year basis after that. Renewal of your membership involves, but not limited to, updating your information, taking a refresher course and other minor involvements to be determined by the directors.

Kaufman County CERT is open to all individuals that live or work in Kaufman County and meet the following requirements. Residency/Work confirmation requirements must be met.

Membership Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• Must prove that you live or work in Kaufman County or a city with portions within the county lines:
  
  • Water bill (less than 30 days old)
  • Electric bill (less than 30 days old)
  • Phone bill (less than 30 days old and not for a cell phone)
  • Paycheck stub (less than 60 days old)
• Must be able to speak, read and understand bacic english
• Be willing to complete all required training
• Be willing to help anyone and everyone with no exceptions
• Provide a clear background check - see background check page for more information
• More items added if needed.

Everyone that wishes to become part of the Kaufman County CERT program must adhere to the above listed items. The helps us to ensure that we are able to provide the best quality service to the community and its citizens. * Fees: Please note that Kaufman County CERT is now required to have a background check on its members. In an effort to better serve the community, we have partnered with a company to perform these background checks for us. You are ask to supply a certificate supplied by this company when you register to take the course. This certificate cost @ $10.00.
