YES, donations made to Kaufman County CERT are 100% tax deductible. Kaufman County CERT, Inc. is a subordinate organization of Southern Search & Rescue, Inc. and is covered under its Group Exemption Letter (GEL). This GEL issued by the IRS allows any subordinate to be a 501(c)3 organization.
Most donations are handled directly through Kaufman County CERT, but in some cases, do to cost factors, some donations are processed on our behalf by Southern Search & Rescue, Inc. with 100% of those funds being transfered to us upon receipt.
