Do to recent events in the world and the fact that Kaufman County CERT, Inc. works with a variety of agencies and individuals, our organization has to be concerned with the types of members that we allow to take part in our organization.  As such, we may require a background check to be conducted on members within our organization or those wishing to join.

Kaufman County CERT, Inc. and it's parent organization, Southern Search & Rescue, Inc. have partnered with MyBackgroundCheck.com to conduct these checks.  This is a basic, national background check.  It only indicates that there is or is not any criminal files linked to you.  MyBackgroundCheck.com only provides a Yes or No to whether there is a file on you.  It is our decision to persue any Yes information further.  

We do not request for any other information about you.  In fact, we provide you with the requested information using either a printable form or online form and you request the information for us.  You grant us access to conduct this background check, only for the information that we request.  That is a national criminal database check and social security verification.  We do not request any further information.

The current price for the background check is $15.95.  By requesting this background check, you will be provided with a certificate by MyBackgroundCheck.com that can be given to most any other organization that seeks a background check on you.  So this may be used more than one.

NOTICE:  Information obtained via your background check will become a part of your organizational file.  Information obtained through this background check is only used by Kaufman County CERT, Inc., Southern Search & Rescue, Inc. and it's divisions to comply with various new laws and policies designed to protect the general public.  If we feel that your background check will be of value to others, we will advise you and allow you to provide a certificate to them.  We will not provide any information contained in this background check, nor your personnel file outside of the organization, unless required by law, as stated in our privacy policy.
