Kaufman County CERT, Inc.

Kaufman County CERT, Inc. is proud to offer the ability for interested citizens to complete complete the basic CERT training in a very short time frame.  By establishing the Accelerated Training Class, individuals are able to complete the training in just 2 days.  Generally this course is done on 2 Saturdays, though, if enough people signup and wish to complete the course in one weekend, that can be arranged.  Please contact us for more information.

 All the training material that is presented in the 8 week course is presented during this Accelerated Class.  This course allows students to have one ½ hour break for lunch and another for dinner.

1st Saturday

• 8:00am - 10:00am - Introduction to Kaufman County CERT and CERT in general
• 10:00am - 12:00pm - Disaster Fire Suppression
• 12:00pm - 12:30 pm - Lunch Break
  
• 12:30pm - 2:30pm - Disaster Medical Operations (Session 1)
• 2:30pm - 4:30pm - Disaster Medical Operations (Session 2) and Multi-Casualty Incident
• 4:30pm - 6:30pm  - Light Search & Rescue Operations
• 6:30pm - 7:00pm - Dinner Break
  
• 7:00pm - 9:00pm - CERT Team organization and Disaster Psychology

2nd Saturady (or second day)

• 8:00am - 11:00am - Terrorism and CERT, Homeland Defense
• 11:00am - 12:00pm - Lunch Break
• 12:00pm - ??? - Course Review and Mock Disaster Simulation
