Kaufman County CERT, Inc. (KCCERT) is a Texas Non-Profit Corporation established in 2004 and incorporated on April 29, 2005, then on August 14 2006, we received our 501(c)3 exemption from the IRS through a Group Exemption Letter provided to us by Southern Search & Rescue, Inc..  Kaufman County CERT is not a division or affiliated/associated with Kaufman County or any of its agencies.  We do not receive any funding or support from the county.  We are not a govermental agency or entity, but just a standard non-profit corporation that has used the name to show our operational area.  This is similar to other business in Kaufman County, such as the Kaufman County Christian Center or the Kaufman County Vetarniary Clinic.

Kaufman County CERT is a Community Emergency Response Team which is part of the Citizen Corps program. Using volunteers in our community, we are building a large base of 1st responders to assist their communities and the county in both emergency situations and public events.

The KCCERT is directed by a Board of Directors that handle the everyday operations of the organization and interact with local agencies that we will assist at various times. Volunteers of the organization have the right to vote on various aspects of the group and help to continue moving our program forward to ensure the best service to the community.

The current Board of Directors consists of the following members:
